Ashley wanted to taste everything

Sweet candy, grapes

Red wine and ribeye

Delicate teas and strong coffee

Pork chops and peach cobbler

She wanted to taste it all

Exquisite happiness and low despair

Raging and crying

The stillness and peace

She kept on tasting it

The blush of embarrassment

The flush of new love

The agony of long good byes

And ended dreams

She took a taste of everything

Losses, gains and break-evens

The bitterness of medicine

The pain, the tears, the laughter

The love, the joy, the anger

And through it all, she felt

Like she was missing something

A new taste she didn’t have yet

And in the end she found it

She tasted Death

And she found it Divine
